I have been teaching for 21 years. Oddly enough, my entire teaching career has been at Lasley Elementary School. I received my BA in Liberal Arts from Colorado Christian University. I received my MA in Curriculum and Instruction for English Language Learners from the University of Colorado at Denver. I feel that being a teacher is such a privilege. I feel honored each year when parents allow me to spend 7 hours a day with their children teaching, nurturing, and inspiring them. Seeing the growth that each child makes each year puts a smile on my face and a glow in my heart, and that is why teaching enriches my life every day.
In my spare time, I continually like to learn more about American History. I am a Civil War, and World War II enthusiast. I enjoy reading biographies and watching documentary films. Traveling has also become a new passion of mine. I am always open to trying and learning new things.
